The Red Cloaks Kickstarter

Lyon’s Den Studios has just launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund a Monster Hunting Guild supplement. The product offers game mechanics for a variety of topics related to monster hunting, including (among other things) generating a contract, creating custom weaknesses for monsters, specialized rules for hunting monsters, and rules for how to harvest monster organs and use them to craft potions. In addition the product will include a detailed map of a monster hunting guild (which I may be creating), a host of fleshed out NPCs and an introductory adventure module intended to take new initiates from 1st to 3rd level.

In the last few months I’ve completed two maps (here and here) for this company and am currently working on a third. I’ve really been impressed with how imaginative these locations are. I’ve had several people comment on this as well, noting how cool, for instance, the elven city built upon the skeleton of a massive dragon looks. It’s made me very curious about the world itself.

As such I’ve backed the campaign myself and look forward to adding this supplement to my own RPG library. If anything I’ve said is of interest to you I’d encourage you to have a look at the campaign as well and consider becoming a backer as well.
